Paramedic LTEs


Full-time EMS Chief:

Deer-Grove EMS is currently accepting resumes for its EMS Chief position.  Candidates must possess a State of Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic License.  The district currently operates at the Intermediate (I-99) Level, but has applied for EMT-Paramedic Service Licensure.

Responsibilities of the Chief include but are not limited to managing all personnel - paid staff, interns and volunteers; setting up protocols and quality assurance; annual budget preparation and adoption; coordinating training; overseeing continued development of the internship program; and representing the service at the local, county and state levels.

LTE Paramedics:

Deer-Grove EMS is actively recruiting LTE Paramedics. Interested medics must have a current National Registry or State of Wisconsin EMT-P, CPR, and ACLS.
PALS, PEPP, ABLS, PHTLS and BTLS preferred. CEVO/EVOC certification will be provided. Interested applicants are encouraged to fill out the online application and submit a resume to training@deergroveems.org.




Paramedic Intern Program:


Deer-Grove EMS offers one of the state's most competitive Paramedic Intern Programs. Interns are resident staff who serve as primary crewmembers aboard our ALS Ambulance. Interns are provided accommodation at the fire house as well as a monthly stipend and tuition reimbursement for Paramedic Training in exchange for hours on the job. Interns are also provided the opportunity to receive training and certification as Firefighter I & II as well as attend EMS training events throughout the state. Volunteer EMT:

Deer-Grove EMS was founded as a volunteer organization and remains a combination volunteer service. Volunteer members serve as the primary crew of Rescue 80, the BLS Ambulance operated out of the Deerfield Firehouse and serve as third crewmembers aboard Rescue 78, the ALS Ambulance which responds from the Cottage Grove Emergency Services Building. Volunteers are required to serve a minimum of 24 hours of duty per month and must attend monthly training sessions to maintain their
proficiency as Pre-Hospital Providers. Volunteer applicants must hold an EMT-Basic license or be willing and able to attend an EMT-Basic course. CEVO/EVOC certification will be provided. Interested candidates are encouraged to fill out the online application .
