Deer-Grove EMS is hiring an Administrative Services Manager to provide critical financial and administrative support to the organization. This full-time position offers an annual salary between $75,000 and $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. A full position description and requirements can be found here.
The Administrative Services Manager will report directly to the EMS Chief and handle a wide range of responsibilities including budget development and oversight, financial analysis, payroll administration, accounts payable and receivable, and grant writing. The role requires someone who can manage complex financial systems while coordinating with EMS staff and municipal partners across Cottage Grove, Deerfield, and surrounding communities in Dane County.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will bring four to six years of progressively responsible municipal government experience, preferably in a Fire/EMS environment, with a proven track record of managing complex budgets from multiple funding sources. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal staff and external stakeholders are essential.
The position comes with an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with vacation, sick time, and paid holidays. Employees participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) and have access to the Wisconsin Deferred Compensation program and optional short-term disability coverage. While a current Wisconsin EMT license is preferred, it is not required for the position.
