The Deer-Grove EMS Department provides 911 Emergency Medical Services to the communities of Cottage Grove, Deerfield, and Pleasant Springs, Wisconsin. DGEMS provides this services to a growing population of 13,000 over 72 square miles. DGEMS is an Advanced Life Support Service that is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, by a joint staff of paid professionals and volunteer emergency care providers. DGEMS continues to grow to meet the needs of the communities we serve, responding to over 700 calls in 2006 alone. 

Formed in 1978, the villages and towns of Cottage Grove and Deerfield drafted a municipal agreement to combine resources for the provision of Emergency Medical Services. Since that time, the department has grown beyond EMT-Basic up to Intermediate licensure, and is actively pursuing Paramedic level in order to provide the highest licensed level of pre-hospital emergency care available. Deer-Grove EMS is committed to providing the very best medical care and prevention services to enhance the quality of life of the residents and visitors within our district.
